He is not willing to go to the Royal Court Theatre but is there on the recommendation of his music teacher. He gets to meet Ivan in the Royal Court Theatre where they both start working on his singing. Garvanos is not very confident about singing in the Royal Court Theatre and has doubts about the same. There are a lot of things that Garvanos needs to learn.
