A Song for Ghosts

‘A Song for Ghosts’ by Manja Siber is a book that is set in 1848 and revolves around Garvanos Scimia who is from Milan who has come to Dresden to join the Royal Court Theatre. He is not willing to go to the Royal Court Theatre but is there on the recommendation of his music teacher. He gets to meet Ivan in the Royal Court Theatre where they both start working on his singing. Garvanos is not very confident about singing in the Royal Court Theatre and has doubts about the same. There are a lot of things that Garvanos needs to learn. Will Ivan help Garvanos to make him feel confident and help him with his singing?
The plot was interesting and I liked how Garvanos journey is moving throughout the story. Characters are well developed and I could actually feel what Garvanos was going through and how he was feeling all along the way in the story. Language is simple and lucid. The narration is nicely done. The book cover and the title of the book are apt to the plot.
Overall, it was a nice read and I would surely recommend it to all.
