A Hundred Little Flames Author: Preeti Shenoy  Pages: 368 The novel talks about the relationship between two people of different generations who meet for the first time and how they get along with each other. The book introduces us to Ayan who is a 26 years old boy who is attending an office party and getting to work the next day and is asked by his HR to put down his papers due to some controversy in the party which he had attended. Even though he was not interested in the job but had taken it due to the pressure from his father he was wondering about how to get about his job search due to the conditions due to which he had leave his previous job. When Jairaj (Ayan’s father) comes to know of this he is frustrated and sends Ayan to live with his muttacha (grandfather) in a small village in Kerala who has just met with an accident and has fractured his leg. He soon discovers that the village is a sleepy, idyllic place and doesn’t even have internet connection. 

December Book Haul !!!

Hello!!! This is my first ever book haul on this blog. So, I went on a shopping spree on Amazon and bought 5 books. All books are from Indian Authors. I am tempted to read some of these books in this month itself. In fact, I have already started reading A Hundred Little Flames by Preeti Shenoy and I am 113 pages into it. The Girl of My Dreams Author: Durjoy Datta Pages: 288   “The Girl of My Dreams” is a story about Daman who has met with a car accident and is in coma. After coming out of coma all that he remembers is that he was in the car along with a girl named Shreyasi.   All he remembers of Shreyasi is her hazy face, her eyes and her name. He doesn’t remember who this Shreyasi is and where did she go? Post accident he has been diagnosed with amnesia wherein he doesn’t remember most of the things from the accident and the events leading to it. Soon Daman starts a blog wherein he starts writing fictional stories about himself and Shreyasi.
