Everyone was amazed to see this as this was the first time when a woman from the tribe has done an exceptional work of overcoming such a monster. Once There Was Me Author: Bobby Sachdeva P ages: 427                 ‘Once There Was Me’ by Bobby Sachdeva is a book wherein the author has shared his experience throughout his life. We get to see a glimpse of the communal riots and how it affected the common people including the author’s family. Be it any sort of riots or violence the real culprits are never held or punished rather innocent people who don’t have any part to play become victim. We also get to see how the author had an experience with the medical field and what all goes around in the field. The struggle that the author had throughout his life and how he overcomes all these difficulties is exceptional. We also get to see how a religious person turns into a complete atheist.   To know more read ‘Once There Was Me’.                I must agree that this book was an emotional rollercoaster ride and the author has expressed his feeling beautifully. Palera Dawn Author: A H Washington                 ‘Palera Dawn’ by A H Washington is a book that revolves around Kalera who is very depressed on the death of her mother. Not able to get over this huge loss she attempts suicide as living without her mother any more. But luckily Zoran and Teagen find her and rush her to the hospital. One day after waking up from the therapy suddenly Kalera finds herself in a different place where she thinks she is with Zoran.   To find what happens next read ‘Palera Dawn’                 The plot is well written and I liked the glossary that is provided at the start of the book it makes things easier for the readers. The map is also helpful in imagining the world and I liked the world built in the book. Language is simple and lucid and the narration is well done. The book cover is interesting. We also get an insight on how the author had planned for the D-Day and people will surely find it very helpful and know exactly what needs and how things need to be planned. All the 8 stories revolve around day to day life that we experience in our life. I liked how the author has given a different message in all of these stories and the characters are well developed and relatable. The plot of each of these stories teaches us what is currently going on around us and how we usually react to things. Like in one of the stories a protagonist loses his job to which his father tells him something due to which he is motivated and succeeds. The very first chapter tells us how we humans are normally inclined towards who we are? What caste, religion, sect we belong to? The author has also described his own experience wherein people had bullied him due to his surname. Author has also told us how we become what we think and the importance of affirmations. We normally think negatively and in turn we get similar kind of experiences. Hence, we should try our best to think positively. Overall, the author has shown us how we ourselves can overcome these problems and create a better world for ourselves and for others. The required weapons to overcome these problems are there within us and we must learn how to use them.
