                ‘The Grandmaster and Other Stories’ by Chinmaya Desai is a collection of 17 short stories which revolve around issues that we might have faced or encounter. While reading the stories I found them to be unique and thought provoking.  Some of my avourite Stories

1.       The Grandmaster
2.       The Politician
3.       Mother’s Love
4.       The Woman in the Yellow Saree

                The plot for every story is unique and I liked how the author has made the readers to contemplate on what they have read and are also eye opener.

                Language is simple and lucid.

                Characters are well developed and the author has given us a back story of them which helps us to relate more with the characters.

                The cover of the book is very interesting and the title of the book is also apt to the stories.

                Overall, I enjoyed reading the book.
