Jhumki: A Poignant Story Of Unconditional Love Beyond Blood Ties
Author: Farah Naqvi

‘Jhumki: A Poignant Story Of Unconditional Love Beyond Blood Ties’ by Farah Naqvi is a beautiful story which shows us that for a relationship to prosper it does not have to be biological or related by blood. Similarly is the story of Nimisha Mishra who had a miscarriage two years back and the memories still haunt her. One day, she while on her way to office she meets a baby girl and decides to keep her until her parents don’t come. But a lot changes and the love and the bond between the two cannot be compared to blood relations too.  To know more read Jhumki: A Poignant Story of Unconditional Love Beyond Blood Ties.

I loved the plot and how it revolves around the live of Jhumki and Nimisha it teaches us how relationships are not bound by blood only but sometimes they are above all.

The language is simple and lucid and the narration is done beautifully.

The characters are well developed and I instantly connected with Nimisha. The emotions that Nimisha and her family members go through after her absorption are well very well portrayed.

The book cover has a deep meaning and is very beautiful and the title of the book is also apt to the whole plot.

Overall, I would say that it was a very emotional read and would surely recommend it to everyone.

My Rating: 5/5
