The Lady in the Mirror
Author: Charu Vashishtha Gulati
Pages: 130
‘The
Lady in the Mirror’ by Charu Vashishtha Gulati is a collection of 8 short
stories. Each story has is unique and has a emotion behind them. Each story has
different range of feelings from love, greed, self discovery, etc. Each story
has a moral which will teach us something. Like in the story ‘The Last Confession’
we get to see how important it is to communicate with the people whom we love
and sometimes due to lack of communication we might have to suffer a lot.
Some
of my favourite stories are as follows:
·
The
last confession
·
The
lost meera
·
The
mysteriour playwright
The book is written in a simple and
lucid manner which will make it easier for the readers to go through it. Plus
the book is short and can be completed in a day.
The narration is done beautifully
and the characters too are well developed.
The plot of each story is unique and
is written in such a manner that the readers will ponder about them and will
surely get to learn from each story.
The book cover and title is apt to
the stories. Each character in the story is reflecting about themselves which
makes the book unique.
Overall, I loved reading all the
stories and would surely recommend it to all.
My Rating: 4/5
