 A Regal Man

Author: Priya Kumar

Pages: 270

‘A Regal Man’ by Priya Kumar is a biography of a very famous businessman named Vasu Shroff. We get to see the journey of this successful businessman how he came from a very humble background and the struggle he and his family had to go through after shifting to India. In 1961 when he was only 19 years he shifted to Dubai as his father wanted him to help his brother in business. When he shifted there he was shocked to see the living conditions of the locals and really wanted to help them. There were many things that he went about doing not for himself or his business but for the people around him and those belonging to his country. There were many ups and downs in his life but he never gave up and faced them until he reached where he is now. To know the journey of this renowned businessman read ‘A Regal Man’.

My Thoughts:

It is really an inspiring read and there’s a lot to learn from Mr. Shroff. At time we give up very easily but don’t think that it might be a possibility that we can achieve what we are looking at if we put in a little more efforts. Mr. Shroff went through a lot of struggle, pain of losing a dear one, loss, etc. but even after facing all these he went through these and turned the odds in his favour.

What I liked about the book:

I really like how the author always adds in a personal touch to the book wherein she makes the readers ponder and note down things that we the readers think or feel like.

The ‘Let’s Talk about You’ section is really helpful as there are a lot of questions that we sometimes have but ignore or choose to not to talk about.

There are photographs in the books which gives us a glimpse of how everything started and expanded and during other occasions and events.

There are a lot of things that readers can learn through this book and try to inculcate them in their life.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and would surely recommend it to all.
