‘The Unusual Bond: A Grave doesn’t Judge. It just listens’ by Vijay Kakwani is a book that revolves around Vaidehi who has no one to listen to her and to help her in this phase of loneliness. One day Vaidehi discovers a graveyard during one of her walks and there she finds the grave of Norma D’Costa. She finally starts sharing her feelings and what she has been through with this grave and visits her regularly. To know more about Vaidehi’s story and why is lonely and what is it that she cannot share with anyone read ‘The Unusual Bond: A Grave Never Judges. It Just Listens’.

My Thoughts:

The plot is interesting and somewhat can be related to real life. At times we really need someone or that one person on whom we can put our trust and listen to us without judging us. But is it easy to find such a person in whom we can confide in. We get to see this expressed by the author through this emotional story of Vaidehi.

Characters are well developed and relatable. The emotions that Vaidehi goes through can be felt through this story.

Language is simple and lucid. The narration is done nicely and will keep the readers interest throughout the story. The title of the story and the book cover are apt to the plot.

Overall, it was an engaging read and I would recommend this book to someone who’s looking to read something short.
