‘Orange City’ by Lee Mathew Goldberg is a story set in a dystopian city called ‘The City’. The City is a place where the felons, deformed outcasts are selected and given a second chance. But what if you are being continuously watched and accountable for all the work? What happens if a particular person doesn’t or couldn’t complete the allocated task? Is this actually a second chance or a boon or is it moving from one prison to another? To know read ‘Orange City’.

My Thoughts:

The plot is really interesting and shows us the darker side of the technological revolution taking place. Characters are written in such a manner that we get to see a glimpse of the real world where we get to see extreme emotions, addictions, autocracy, blackmail and fight for freedom. Language is simple and lucid and the narration is done nicely.

Overall, it was a very engaging read and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
