My Thoughts:
The plot was really intriguing right from the first page. I could really feel the efforts that Alex’s dad and step mom was putting in to make her a part of the family. The sudden events that take place in their life were shocking and sad to read.
The characters were well developed and realistic. It is very much natural for a teenage to feel the way Alex was feeling and it was sad to see how she was getting separated from the family. I must say that I loved each and every character from the story and at times they even made me laugh and at times it was really emotional. I liked how Alex puts in all the efforts to find Max and how she takes over the responsibility of the siblings after her parent’s demise.
Language was simple and lucid. The narration was nicely done and the pace of the story is perfect.
The cover page of the book of the book could have been better. The title of the book is apt to the plot.
Overall, it was a really good read and I would surely recommend it to all.
