Short Stories

Author: Ashwini Malhotra

Pages: 76

‘Short Stories’ by Ashwini Malhotra is a collection of 8 short stories. All the 8 stories revolve around day to day life that we experience in our life. I liked how the author has given a different message in all of these stories and the characters are well developed and relatable. The plot of each of these stories teaches us what is currently going on around us and how we usually react to things. Like in one of the stories a protagonist loses his job to which his father tells him something due to which he is motivated and succeeds. In another story we get to see how humans usually are scared of ghosts but are they real?  Some of my favourite stories are as follows:

·         Recession

·         A History Lesson

·         Lights Off

·         Ghost Stories

The book cover is simple and the title of the book is simple and apt to the concept of the book.

I must say that this book should definitely be read by everyone as the topics are really such that the readers will definitely contemplate over them.
