‘Letters of Bloodline: Maya’s Confession: A Shocking thriller of your family’s 15,000 years old mystery’ is a book which revolves around a family’s 15000 years old mystery. The book starts with the protagonist receiving an email from her mother. It is the family’s tradition that once the chosen child is 25 years old they are handed over a bunch of letters. These letters possess all the secrets that lie within the family’s bloodline. To the protagonists surprise the oldest letter starts from the 13,000 B.C. i.e. Stone Age which were written by the first mother. The email specially mentions that as the letters are passed on to the next generation necessary updates are to be made like vocabularies, etc. The email sent by her mother also specially tells her to not disclose or reveal about these letters to anybody neither his family members nor friends as it can possess a great threat to the whole family especially the chosen one. What is this family secret that is passed on from so many generations? How is the chosen one selected? To know read ‘Letters of Bloodline: Maya’s Confession’.

My Thoughts:

The plot is interesting and it was truly amazing to find the family bloodline starting from the Stone Age period to coming to our modern society. The changes that happened over the years are shown excellently. I like how the family’s tradition is passed on and also the way they recognize the chosen child. To me everything about the plot was mesmerizing.

The characters are well developed and each member of each generation is relatable. We get to experience these characters around us be it our grandparents, parents or siblings. The characters are developed in such a manner that it literally felt as if we know them from before.

The language is simple and lucid. The narration is done excellently. I must also say that the author has done in depth research about the different time periods and has done justice to all the different periods of time be the Stone Age or the present. The pace of the story is perfect.

The book cover is interesting and totally relates to the different eras that we get to see in the book. The title of the book is also apt to the plot.

Overall, I would say that this book is a perfect blend of action, adventure and historical mystery. I would surely recommend this book to all.

My Rating: 5/5
