Supercop of Aryavrat | Book Review
Supercop of Aryavrat
Author: Mithilesh Kumar
Pages: 286
‘Supercop
of Aryavrat’ by Mithilesh Kumar is a historical fiction which gives us Krishna’s
perspective which is hardly done before. The story begins with Lord Krishna
recalling incidents that have taken place in his life. He’s recalling how he
got the curse from Gandhari for not stopping the Kurukshetra war. Then the
other curse from Durvasa which leads to the end of the Yadava dynasty. We get
to see the different events that leads to Mahabharat and also get to see
what Lord Krishna thinks about them. To know in detail read Supercop of
Aryavrat.
My Thoughts:
We hardly find any book
depicting the thoughts of Lord Krishna but the author has done a brilliant work
of giving us an insight of what actually happened and what lead to some of the
situations. The plot and the sub-plot is unique and the readers will also get
to know stories from Lord Krishna’s life that they have never heard or read
before.
The characters are depicted very
beautifully. We get to see the different aspects and perspectives of each
characters and also the psychology of how people think and are often not
willing to listen to other’s perspective.
The writing style is also
beautiful. The readers will be intrigued to know what will be happening ahead. The
language used is simple and lucid and the readers will find it easy to go
through the book.
The cover page is very
attractive and the title of the book is apt to the story. They both depict the
story line and would surely raise the interest in the readers.
Overall, it was a great
experience reading the book as I got to know many facts that I would have otherwise
not known.
My Rating:
5/5
