My Thoughts:
The plot is very realistic. In India arranged marriages are still preferred and it is a matter of prestige that the children agree to a life partner matched by their parents. But in this process we sometimes don’t get to know the family well and then problems start peeking up the same can be seen through this story.
Characters are relatable. It was really upsetting to see Radha blindly falling for Karthik who couldn’t take a stand for her. I really liked Shaurya a lot who really wants the best for Radha but for her everything revolves around Karthik. Karthik seemed really confusing to me he was trying to keep both his mother and Radha happy in the process hurting both by saying something without thinking too much. I could actually relate to the characters especially what Radha was going through but at times I was even angry with her for not thinking sensibly.
Language is simple and lucid. Narration was nicely done and I must say that the curiosity of the readers has nicely been maintained by the author throughout the book.
The cover page nicely depicts the plot. The title of the book is also apt to the plot of the book.
Overall, this book is an eye opener for all to take decisions wisely and also to make sure that this new member is being welcomed in the family and treated respectfully and equally.
