‘Man Hunt’ by Priya Kumar is a story set in Nagarjuna Tiger Reserve where a white tiger has been spotted. Following the story we have a monk who is staying within the reserve and Neil who is a junior forest officer who visits Bhikku the monk  as he loves to hear what he has to say. Then we also follow the story of Rahul who is really sad about his parents getting divorced and his mother marrying some other guy who he hates a lot. All these stories together along with a big political agenda and corrupted media are linked together in a way that will surely surprise the readers. To know read ‘Man Hunt’

My Thoughts:

The plot was really interesting and eye opening. I liked how the author has brought to the forefront how disastrous it is to interfere with nature. Through this story we get to see how some people just to stay in power can go to any extent without even thinking about others and the effects of it on everybody.

The characters are well developed and I especially liked the character of the monk and the white tiger. Bhikku always has enlightening to say about life and he makes others .see through that perspective. It was pretty impressive to see the connection that is shared between Bhikku and the white tiger.

Language is simple and lucid and the narration is nicely done. The book cover and the title of the book is also apt to the plot.

Overall, it was an eye opening read.
