But everything is not easy in life and sometimes life plays its role similarly their life is too full of ups and down. Will Alok ever be able to achieve his dream? To know read ‘A Pleasant Escape’

My Thoughts:

The plot is nicely written and we get to see how difficult Civil Services actually are. There are so many aspirants who really want to dream to be an IAS officer and invest so much of their time and efforts. Many also have financial or other problems but then too their parents sacrifice each and everything just because their kids can achieve everything that they really want. The end was really shocking which was not at all expected.

Characters are well developed and relatable. We get to hear stories about people who have successfully achieved their dream of becoming an IAS Officer. We get to see the hard work that they have put in and how dedicated they were while studying. We get to see similar kind of vibes in this book especially Alok, Ankit, Sakshi and many other characters who were dedicated to their studies. We also get to see a glimpse of how parental pressure can have adverse effect on the child and how they can take extreme steps sometimes.

Language is simple and lucid. The narration is done nicely.

The book cover is really beautiful and apt to the plot of the book. The title of the book is also apt to the plot.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and would surely recommend this book to all.
