My Thoughts:
I liked how the author has put forward the stories of three different characters and how their stories are later on interlinked to each other is very interesting. What I really like about this book is that the author has dealt with some serious social issues that we get to see today’s society which shows us how people’s thought process really works when they are committing to a particular crime or even in domestic life when there are trust issues between couples.
The characters are well developed and realistic. I really liked the character of Ms. Tandel who is bravely dealing with the criminals and is against corruption and is also fighting against women harassment. There comes a time when the readers will be forced to think what is real and what is illusion in the case of Ms. Tandel but things start becoming clearer as reach further in the book.
Language is simple and lucid and the narration is nicely done. I also liked the fact that the author has given us a brief tour and the culture of Daman where Meenu’s mother tells us how they earlier used to celebrate a festival wherein they used to stop fishing and everyone used to start farming to be with their family.
The book cover is really interesting and will surely make the readers curious to know about the story. The title of the book is also apt to the plot.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and would surely recommend it to people who love reading psychological thrillers.
