‘CJ’s Big Dream’ by C. J. Watson is a book where we follow CJ’s journey to his dream i.e. playing the Big Game. In this book we get to see how CJ is determined to win this basketball game and to win this game he also wears his lucky socks. His younger brother even makes fun of him for wearing those stinky socks. CJ soon goes to the gym where his coach tells him to try a few shots which he missed. Will CJ be able to achieve his big dream? Will CJ’s lucky socks help him to win this game? To know more read ‘CJ’s Big Dream’

The plot is well written and again shows us how CJ while practicing misses a few shots but

His coach inspires him to achieve his goal. It shows us how we need to motivate our children to achieve things even if they fail at first.

The characters are well developed and we surely get to learn a lot from them. I liked how CJ takes his dream seriously and is determined to do everything it needs to reach there. CJ’s coach who is always inspiring him to do his best to achieve his dreams.

Language is simple and lucid and the narration is well done. The illustrations surely help the readers to visualize the characters and the story in a much better way making the story reading more enjoyable. Loved the illustrations in this book as well.

The cover page is beautifully designed and is apt to the story. The title of the book is also apt to the book.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book too and I am sure that children too would surely enjoy reading this book.
