OG | Book Review
OG
‘OG’ by Joanne Hutchinson is a story of an ogre named OG who used to live in the hollow of an old oak tree. Every night he would leave his house in the old oak tree and go by the window of Lucy who used to read her books at night time. OG used to love stories and it was his daily routine to hear these stories wherein he used to travel to the world of these stories until one day when he finds Lucy crying. On finding the reason of Lucy crying he sets forward to help her without her knowing. What is it that makes Lucy cry? OG has made up his mind to help her but will he be successful in helping her?
My Thoughts:
I loved and enjoyed reading the book. The author has beautifully shown us how an ogre loved reading and listening to stories and this love of his carried him every night to Lucy’s window. This love for reading makes him take a lot of risk throughout the book but nothing is going to stop him. I loved OG a lot how he loves and also after learning about Lucy’s plight he sets forward to help her. The characters are well developed and the children will surely be attached to them. I loved the writing style of the author and the rhyming throughout the book is the best thing. The artwork is beautifully done and the bright colours will surely attract young readers and they will enjoy the book.
Overall, I must say that I loved reading the book and would surely recommend it to all.
