‘Love in Lockdown’ by Ratna Chandu is a book that revolves around carefree Gautam and a dedicated nurse Amrutha. Gautam is an NRI who had come to India for a visit but with surging cases of Corona lockdown was announced and is now stuck. Soon, Gautam too starts experiencing mild symptoms of sore throat and cough and rushes to a private hospital that in turn refers him to a renowned government hospital. The results show that he is positive and is put under quarantine where he meets Amrutha. Soon, Amrutha starts visiting him and they soon become friends and a lot is about to change for both of them. To know more read ‘Love in Lockdown’.

The plot is revolving around the current events and many can relate to the situations taking place in the book. The characters are well developed and I really loved Amrutha’s character a lot. Language is simple and lucid and the narration is well done. The cover page of the page is beautiful and is apt to the plot.  The title of the book is also apt to the plot.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would surely recommend this book.

4/5
