Ghosts and Other Vital Organs | Book Review
Ghosts and Other Vital Organs
Author: Vincent Hollow
‘Ghosts and Other Vital Organs’ by Vincent Hollow is a collection of poems which will surely touch each reader. The book is divided into three parts namely;
1. Carpe Noctem
2. Memento Mori
3. Memento Vivere
Each part of the book depicts the thoughts and feelings of the author. We normally get to see poems related to happiness, romance, etc but there are very few which revolve around dark themes. After reading the poems I can say that we can surely relate to them in some or the other way. We normally put on a mask so that our true feelings cannot be seen by others then at times we also feel that no one can understand us. These feelings are nicely expressed by the author via these poems. Some poems might even give Goosebumps to the readers and some might even make them cry.
The illustrations in the book are amazing and we get to see them in the entire book which very much suits the theme of the poems. The title of the book is apt to the theme of the poems.
Overall, I must say that this is a very unique book which shows us various emotions that we experience but cannot put down in words. I would surely recommend this wonderful book to all.
My Rating: 5/5
