My Thoughts:
I
loved the overall plot. It was intriguing and mysterious; the author has done
an excellent work of keeping the suspense till the end of the book. I also liked the fact that the author has
also left the readers to keep guessing on what if it is this person? It was
wonderful to read Mirabai’s story. The subplot within the plot has been well
maintained and I was eager to read about Mirabai’s life. I must say that the
author has done extensive research about Mirabai’s life.
The
characters are well developed and I liked the heroic act of Neelam how she
selflessly wants to complete the work that her parents couldn’t complete. In
this process she doesn’t care about herself or what if these people chase me? I
also liked Laj she is funny and a very strong lady who always tries to lift Neelam’s
mood and help her with her inspiring tales.
Language
is simple and lucid. The narration is done excellently and it felt as if a
movie is playing in front of me. I must say that the book will develop an
interest among the readers right from the first page itself.
The
cover page is interesting and would surely develop an interest in the minds of
the readers. The title of the book is also apt to the story.
Overall,
I would say that this book was quite an adventure of me as well and I
thoroughly enjoyed my time reading it and would surely recommend it to all.
