                ‘A Gift from Above’ by Shobha Nihalani is a very heart touching story of a couple from Hong Kong who are very happy together but the only thing that they are sad about is that their family is incomplete. The couple had applied for the adoption but had to struggle a lot and had to bear with the delays in the legal process. In this process they even travel to various places in India where we get to their plight and in their struggle to get their dreams accomplished. Will their dream be accomplished? My Thoughts:
               
     It was a beautiful story and I must also warn the readers that they will be left emotional after reading this book. The plot was well developed and I was instantly connected to the story. I loved how their adoption hunt starts in Hong Kong and how determined they are to complete their family and end up in India.
               
     The characters were well developed and I must say the readers will surely connect to them and their feelings. The characters thinking process the emotional turmoil that they go through is very heart touching.
             
    The language is simple and lucid. The narration is done beautifully.
             
    The cover page is beautiful and holds deep meaning. I loved the cover page. The title of the book is also apt to the whole story.
           
    I would surely recommend this book to all.
