‘Say It In French’ by Asha Chowdary is a book that revolves around three Indian girls ‘Laila, Anjolie and Nidhi’. These three girls want to learn French and each of them have their own reasons to learn the same. We get to see that each character in the book were strangers and this French class brings them together. They also come up with an idea to open a unique blog where they will share their love for French by sharing a word that they have learnt recently and share why they loved a particular book.  To know more what happens read ‘Say It In French’.

My Thoughts:

The plot is very unique and it was actually a delight to read. The subplot is also well written and it will keep the reader engaged till the end.

The characters are well developed. I liked the fact that the author has given us a detailed background about all the characters which makes them close to the readers. The readers will surely get a glimpse of the characters and what has previously happened with them and how they have evolved themselves from their sufferings or learning.

The language is simple and lucid and the readers will not have much difficulty while reading the book. The narration is also done beautifully.

The book cover is attractive and beautiful and will surely create an interest among the readers. The title of the book is apt to the plot of the story.

Overall, I would say it was an enjoyable read.

My Rating: 4/5
