‘The
Chornicle of Golgotha Days’ by Sujith Balakrishnan is a story that revolves
around Abhaya a sixteen year old girl. Abhaya falls in love with a boy named
Babu who used to work as a cleaner in a bus. Her parents used to love her and
were always worried for her -which she didn’t care for like all the teenage
group. And hence one day she decides to elope with Babu to teach her parents a lesson.
Little did she know what lays ahead and she ends up in the hands of devils who
exploit and torture her like anything. To know more read The Chronicle of
Golgotha Days.
My Thoughts:
The plot of this book is inspired
from true events and when one reads the book it is really disturbing to see one
go through so much pain and torture. After reading this book I would say that
one really needs to think multiple times before taking any decisions and think
hundred times before trusting any stranger. Times have changed and we cannot
trust anyone this is well depicted in this book.
The language is simple and lucid and
the readers will have no difficulty while reading this book.
The book cover is simple but could
have been better. The title of the book is apt to the story.
The characters are well developed and while reading the book the readers can
actually feel what the character is going through and the mentality of the
other characters too can be seen. This all makes the character realistic.
The writing style of the author is
also excellent and will take the readers on a journey of Abhaya. The readers
will actually feel the pain that she had to suffer. The book kept me glued till
the end.
Overall, I liked the book and would
surely recommend it to all.
My Rating: 5/5
