Bhoot, Bhavish, Bartaman | Book Review

Bhoot, Bhavish, Bartaman
Author: Mehool Parekh

‘Bhoot Bhavish Bartaman’ by Mehool Parekh is a Indian crime, mystery and suspense novel where a woman is brutally murdered. It seems as if the case is very simple where a servant killed this woman but on severe investigation it turns out to be difficult and complex case. And hence Mr. Bartaman and Robin come into picture to solve this complicated picture. Bartaman Bhowmick is a major in the Southern Command of the Indian Army and Robin Chowdhury is a crime reporter at Pune City Times. They have previously work on a case and they got along very well and now they solve almost all the cases together. Similarly, they got together to solve this case as well and we get to see many unforeseen events in the process. The ending was baffling. What exactly happened? What lead the murderer to commit such a big crime? To know more read Bhoot, Bhavish, Bartaman.

My Thoughts:

The plot is mysterious and the author has showed us two timeline one where we get to see the crime scene and the other when the women was alive which is unfolding when the crime investigation is going on. This makes the plot all the more mysterious but the mystery is never revealed until the end of the book.

The characters are well developed and very unique. Each has their own flaws and the thinking process of the murderer and the way the case is solved is well described.

The language is simple and lucid. Also the plus point is that the author has also included the native language for some characters which makes the character more realistic and interesting.

The book cover and the title of the book is very interesting. The book title will surely create interest and develop curiosity among the readers. The title is also apt to the plot.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading the book and would surely recommend it to all.

My Rating: 5/5
