Canvas of Life
Author: Rabjot Singh Isher
Pages: 180
‘Canvas
of Life’ by Rabjot Singh Isher is a collection of 8 short stories all based on
human psychology, spirituality and science. Each story is unique and will
surely leave an imprint on the readers mind. While reading the book I actually got to know
how humans thinking work like in the first story ‘The Asylum’ there’s this
conversation going about a street artist and how he loves what he does and when
the protagonist of the story asks him he replies saying that music is a passion
but then people call him crazy. We get to experience this in real life too
people give tags to people without thinking too much just because some people
don’t go through the flow of the other people like in this story which is so
true. Then this other story ‘Two sides of coin’ where we get to see the story
of Anvita and Vyom which shows us what true love actually is and how love can
conquer every obstacle. Each story is written beautifully and some will even
make them ponder about human psychology, spirituality and science. To know more
read Canvas of Life.
My Thoughts:
This is the second book that I am
reading from this author. I enjoyed reading the first one too. His books are
actually written in such a manner that they will make the readers think and
question about how people think and psychologically how we work. The plot for
each story is written beautifully and each story will give something different
to the readers.
Some of my Favourite stories are:
·
The
Asylum
·
The
Confluence
·
Two
Sides of The Coin
The characters are well developed
and relatable. The dialogues/conversations are written in such a manner that
one would feel that we are actually a part of the conversation. Each character
has been given a back story which makes them more close to the readers and we
can connect easily to them.
The language is simple and lucid
which makes it easy for the readers to go through the book.
The cover of the book is done
beautifully and is very much related to the title and the content of the book.
Overall, I liked reading the book
and would surely recommend it to all.
My Rating: 5/5
