Temple Classroom & Other Stories
Author: Puja Roy
Pages: 117

‘Temple Classroom & Other Stories’ by Puja Roy is a collection of stories which depict somewhat show us the real life struggles or problems that people. We all are lucky to have all the amenities in life be it education, entertainment, etc. But there are people who don’t get things easily but they are too determined to achieve things and work hard for them. The author has beautifully depicted different situations/topics of people and how some work hard to achieve them. The readers will get to read very realistic stories which will surely inspire them.

Some of my favourite stories are:
·         Temple Classroom
·         Silver Anklets
·         Homebaker
·         The Vacant Chair
·         Koi No Yokaan
·         Ballu – The Cinemawala

My Thoughts:

The stories are beautifully written and complied. All the stories have a message which have been put forward in a manner that the readers will be inspired.

The language used is simple and lucid. The readers can easily go through the book in one sitting as the book is very small.

The plot of each story is very well thought but there were a few which I liked more over the others.

The cover page is beautiful and the book itself is very cute. The title of the book is also apt.

Overall, I liked this book and would surely recommend this book to someone who’s looking to read something short or is looking to read short stories.

My Rating: 4/5
