                ‘I am in Love with a Shudh Desi Firangi: Hey Shiva I See You in Him’ by Dipnanda Bhaduri Roy is a book about a girl named Kattyani. So, as we start the book we get to see that Kattyayni Is in the exam hall giving her CA exams and she is scared as she cannot concentrate on her paper and is sure to fail. A girl who always excels in her studies could not concentrate as her fiancée calls off the engagement which puts her into depression. Unable to concentrate on anything her parents decide to send her to her Aunt’s place in Goa. But as she reaches her Aunt’s place she meets a firangi at an inappropriate time at the inappropriate place. Soon she comes to know that the firangi’s name is Rodney Stevenson (Rudra) and he’s been staying at her Aunt’s place for the last three years. My Thoughts:

                I would like to mention that this was a very sweet and cute read. The plot was very different from the regular romance fiction we read. The book is a romance fiction but the author has managed to co-operate mythological aspects into the book. So, the readers will be getting to read something unique.

                The language used is very simple and lucid. The narration part is done excellently. While reading the book I was very much excited to know what is going to happen next.

                The characters are well developed and I especially liked the character of Kaatyayni.
               
                The cover page and title is apt to the story. The title of this book is so unique that I actually wanted to know what the story is about.

                Overall, it was a very nice read and I would surely suggest this book to people who are looking forward to read something very different.
