I am a Home to Butterflies | Book Review
I am a home to butterflies
Author: J Alchem
Pages: 244
‘I
am a home to butterflies’ by J Alchem is a collection of poetry, quotes and
letters. The book is about the emotions that a person goes through when he/she
is in love, when he/she goes through a breakup and how he/she is trying to move
ahead but it is not that easy as we think it would be. We sometimes get used to
a person so much that it is difficult to stay away from them but then when they
move on easily and we are still stuck in the same moment living those moments
again and again. We are forced to think if they ever loved us or was it just us
who were living under a false presumption that the person also loves as much as
we love them. The book truly is about you and me and when the readers would
read the book it would be about us. To know more read I am a home to butterflies.
My Thoughts:
I had read and loved the first book
from the author ‘Undelivered Letters’ and loved the writing style of the
author. I read poetry very less but this book is the best for someone who is
new to poetry’s. The book is full of emotions and expresses the true feelings
that a person would feel when he/she is in love or going through a breakup. The
book is not just about love but also about the feelings that a girl would feel
and the pain she goes through when people ignore or judge her on a day to day
basis.
The author has beautifully penned
down the thoughts behind every emotion beautifully in the poetry and in the
letters. The thought behind each poem is so meaningful and touching that it
would make the readers think. The author has based his poems on topics like
relationship, love, heartbreak, hatred, etc. The language used by the author is
simple and lucid so it won’t be difficult for the readers to understand.
I would surely recommend this book
to someone who wants to start reading poetry and someone who is looking for a
different perspective to life and wants to get away from the negativity that
some people bring along with them.
My Rating: 5/5
