My Thoughts:
We get to
see the plight and the ill treatment that women in our society get. Even today
people claim that they consider women equal to men and that women should be
paid equal but somehow some males still think that women should be constrained
to the four walls of their house, making food and looking after the children
and family but they somehow forget that women not only look after their home
but also spend equal hours in the office as them. This book has handled the sensitive
topic of eve teasing, abusing women and how some people after them as an object
of sexual desire and not as a person. We also get to see the treatment that
people give to prostitutes and are not considered as a part of the society and
are neglected and not given any rights.
I loved the
writing style of the author and found it quite engaging.
This book
deserves 5 stars but the book is a little dragged in between hence the 4 stars.
Also, I felt that the cover somehow doesn’t go along with the plot. Otherwise
the story is very good and I loved the book and would recommend this book to
all.
My Rating:
4/5
